Well I had roommates before and it can be a pain if you don't get your point across.

No. 1 Rule should be that both of you put in 50 percent in helping keeping the room, apartment, or house clean, paying the bills and such like that. No one likes to pull the whole 100 percent in these cases.

No. 2 Rule should be if you wish to use any of my things like the GameCube, Playstation 2, TV, Stereo or what not get my permission first.

That's if your roommates in some type of program, of coure if your living together in a home or apartment obviously you will have a main television in the living room, hopefully.

I would if you your living together in an apartment or house to get a lock put on your door with a key to it so no one but you can get in. I learned to be very cautious in cases such as these.

The main thing is to look out for number one and that's you, because if you don't you'll regret not doing so later on.

No. 3 Rule: Tell them your likes and dislikes, get your point across and how you two can co-exist while living together. Set boundaries in other words.

I obviously used my things in the number 2 deal as an example, just to be clear. lol

CM,
i think the most important thing to live together between the sighted and the blind is to learn to be patience for both party.
well, at times, blindies do like to touch alot to know what is all about and how these or those things have been put, but in this case, i'm not really suggest you to do so. sighted might put things not the way like us, and it might cause alot of missunderstanding. they will feel that its anoying to have someone to touch over things, and this is better by telling them that you need to know where is all these about, and ask your roommate to show you. they won't understand us perfectly so do us, the best thing to do is to communicate with your room mate, and tell her / him what to do, what to help, and what not to help. some time, sighted will treat a blind person like a kiddy, who doesn't know how to use thing in a propare way. but all these, will come back to a very basic thing, communication between both party

Remember, just because you can't see them, doesn't mean that they can't see you. Wear clothes
